The new 2018 Lexus LS, which made its debut early this year, has received the F Sport treatment. This aggressive-looking limo, on display at the ongoing 2017 New York International Auto Show, “moves the driving emotion needle even farther” with handling enhancements and a “performance-infused design” Lexus says.
Lexus designers didn’t hold back with the LS F Sport’s styling. No effort spared too. Apparently, developing the F Sport grille you see here took computer-aided design (CAD) operators five months to achieve the desired texture and interaction with light. Even then, they adjusted 7,100 individual surfaces to achieve the desired look and texture (5,000 for the standard LS grille). When combined with the enlarged side grille, the F Sport grille is functional in terms of cooling as well.
That elaborate grille, rocker panel, and trunk mouldings accentuate the big sedan’s slim and rakish profile, while F Sport badging on the fenders and exclusive 20-inch alloys complete the exterior transformation. For those looking to really stand out, White Nova and Heat Blue are colours unique to the F Sport.
